2014 — a year when superheroes were slowly ascending to the throne of the box office after the earth-shattering The Avengers (2012). Movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier were critically and commercially successful making it clear that superhero fans should be ready and excited for what’s next.
