I don’t think it can have escaped anyone’s notice that we’re now entering awards season again. So this month, I’m giving Reece Beckett a hand as he’s a little overwhelmed with submissions for the ‘Film(&TV)’ category and is still wanting to continue with his Around the World Film Tour — this month, Japan!

As a broader Counter Arts monthly prompt for March, our focus is simply going to be on Award Winners.

Obviously we’re all a-buzz about the upcoming Oscars, but they’re not the only Awards held every year.

What I would like is for you to: Write about an Award Winner.
That’s it as far as my instructions and requests go really. The award can have been won at any time, or potentially be about to be won. You can draw from any of the categories of work we host on this publication: Art, Culture, Equality, Photography, Literature, Film(&TV) or Music — tell us about something or someone you admire.

You might also want to take into consideration that March is also Women’s History Month, with International Women’s Day falling on March 8 and this year’s theme being ‘Inspire Inclusion’, see here:
