It appears to be that time again when Apple comes out with a new software update that hopes to impress end users and developers alike. Different versions of the public beta have already been released for people to test out, but it now seems that Apple is inching ever closer towards refining its software for customers later this fall. iOS 15 will try to prove itself to be a step up from its predecessor by offering brand new features that will improve the experience of FaceTime calls, notifications, privacy, maps, weather and so much more.

Before I dive into the new features of iOS 15, I want to remind Apple users of their current experience they are having with iOS 14. This will give a better sense of what to expect when the update becomes widely available.

Thanks to iOS 14, Apple users have witnessed incredible changes to the company’s operating software. The most notable changes were the widgets. The redesigned widgets in iOS 14 allowed for more data to be shown and offered seamless flexibility to look at information in a stream-lined manner. Users were given the opportunity to shift these widgets interchangeably according to their preferences. It gave a person more control in how they wanted their icons displayed, similar to the widget features offered by Android OS.
