I am sure you are all aware of, and many of you have no doubt seen, the latest adaptation of Macbeth by Joel Coen. It has been given its full Shakespearian title ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ which does of course immediately alert us to the content and an obvious conclusion to the machinations of both Macbeth and his wife.
