Hello? Is this prompt still alive?

I only jump in now because I’ve been away from my beloved bookshelf for six weeks. It’s good to be home!

So here it is, our bookshelf.

I say ‘our’ because my partner and I are both avid readers. When we’re not traveling the world, we’re reading. And since the Roaring ’20s have all but killed travel… Hello bookshelf, Kobo and street libraries.

So imagine my pain when this prompt popped up, and I was away from my beloved for the first time in two years. Alone and with only an airport bin book — and Medium.

But all is now right with my world and our bookshelf, which lines the hallway and beckons us every time we walk past. There are several faves stored on these shelves. The rest are free to a good home — op shops, friends and street libraries. It’s the only way to make room for the new and unread.

We’re all readers and writers here,

which means we’re rather curious creatures. So here’s a close up section of my side of the bookshelf. Yes, I have my standard writer’s library in amongst these books though it looks to me they’ve been buried behind another…
