At least once a month, my mind reminds me of an embarrassing moment around bedtime. Given I’m recovering from Covid-19 and have acid reflux, remembering the time I was naked in front of people doesn’t help.

Most of my embarrassing times occurred when I was a child. As a kid, I seemed to explore in my unique way. My moments were an early sign I had a disability. Given that the spectrum didn’t exist, they couldn’t say I flat out had autism or Asperger's. I either had it, or I didn’t.

I’m thankful my parents didn’t treat me differently. They cared for me as if I were an average child. My folk’s direction helped me become the functioning adult I am today.

Knowing I had a problem as a child could’ve helped me in the future. Yet, I may have used it as an excuse for my struggles. Regardless, it’s great I learned about my disability at 20 instead of five.

A few days ago, my mind rekindled the time when I was a little kid. One day, my folks had company over, and they brought their daughter, who’s around my age. The girl noticed I had a Blue Clues playset and joined me. The playset comprises the house from the TV show. It came with toys of Blue, salt, pepper, and other inanimate objects with faces.
