Scooby-Doo (2002) Review: Little Rough, But Great!
Good, if a little inconsistent.

We now get to the live-action portion of Scooby Month, and we start it with the 2002 live-action film, ‘Scooby-Doo’.
It’s been a good couple of years since I had last seen this film, so I was eager to revisit it. What did I get?
I got a film that is funny, heartfelt, and overall an entertaining ride of cool set-pieces and horrible CGI.
After breaking up, the Scooby Gang reunites on Spooky Island to try and solve the mystery of college kids becoming brainwashed. Things get messy when demons and Sugar Ray plot to take over the world.
I like the story. It opens up the path for some great character moments and arcs.
The mystery itself is neat as it looks like it’s going to be about a cult, but then goes off the rails with demons and puppy power.
Is it the best mystery? No. There aren’t a ton of suspects and it doesn’t take long to figure out who’s in on the plot. They try having this witch doctor character be a suspect…
