The January 2025 Neil Gaiman Update
It got worse.

New allegations about speculative fiction author Neil Gaiman emerged, courtesy of a Vulture article. I’ve written about the previous allegations in the fall and the shows that got cancelled as a result.
More news is coming out regarding potential lawsuits and cancellations; those developments are still in-progress so I won’t be commenting on the legal cases.
What Came Out In January 2025?
Vulture released a detailed article about Neil Gaiman’s many power imbalances in his romantic relationships. It’s behind a paywall, but the gist is that it wasn’t just seven women, as two podcasts initially reported. The article confirms that he preyed upon at least fourteen women for over three decades. They shared a common pattern: either financial or emotional vulnerability. Some were fans of his works, but a good number were employees. The employees that refused his advances tended to risk their jobs or housing situation.
