That's usually how it goes down when a beloved celebrity icon is outed as a predatory creep with a callous disregard for women's boundaries. It's no wonder why so many women choose the bear.
Journalists love these stories: all they have to do is “cut and paste”. Easy.
The creep in the spotlight is fantasy writer Neil Gaiman, and allegedly his kink was engaging in brutal and improper carnal relations with naive starstruck vulnerable twenty-something girls, one of whom he hired as a nanny to watch his kid. Allegedly, consent was a one-way street.

neil gaiman telling his victim that "i couldn't tell if she consented because autism" is beyond fucked up.
Do not blame autism. Many of us struggle with reading social cues sure, but having someone who is ACTIVELY PUSHING YOU OFF THEM is pretty fucking clear.
