cover by me — used Figma

Recently, I updated my LinkedIn cover since I decided to focus on React. While trying to find a good way of making a cover on LinkedIn, I found many different ideas. However, this way is probably the most preferred and the best — subjectively.

So what I’ve realized is that keeping the left side blank is a great idea. Because mostly, we don’t see that part. Still, you can use a gradient or a nice color to fill there. The other 2/3 of the cover is still useful, but only for desktops. When I visit my profile on my mobile device, I don’t think the center of my cover is really attractive, even if I put something great there.

The right part of the cover, 1/3 part, is great for both desktop and mobile. You can check and see it on many profiles. To be honest, when I was looking for examples, I really liked Dustin Moskovitz (the CEO of Asana) ‘s design because the right bottom is the place that keeps your eyes relaxed and helps you to read perfectly.

Finally, I decided to use the right of the cover for my information. The top corner contains my name, and the bottom corner contains my skills since you all probably want to know my skills first rather than my name.

To conclude, if you want to change your cover and like my new cover, you can use this as a reference when designing yours.
