The Trashing of Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend Sheds a Revealing Light on ‘Conclave’

Suddenly the famous football coach has lots of concerned friends. And their attitudes reflect a flaw in the papal selection process.

At first glance, you might not think there’s a thru-line between the uproar over Bill Belichick’s girlfriend and a movie about the secret workings of the Vatican Conclave to select a new pope. But there is one.

Before we get to that, though, let me just say that when I meet Jordon Hudson, the beleaguered close personal friend of football coach Bill Belichick, I fully expect to see fire shooting from her nostrils as fangs replace her teeth and her body levitates like demon-possessed Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters.

Anything less would be a disappointment after all the bad press she has received since she interrupted Bill’s interview with CBS News to put an end to questions about their personal relationship.
