The sovereign risk rating platform CountryRisk.io has been significantly updated and revised. Head over to www.countryrisk.io to see the new version.

Growing CountryRisk.io community

Since its launch in September 2015, users in over 70 countries have joined the CountryRisk.io community. They come from central banks and development agencies, asset management companies and from capital-intensive industrial sectors like oil & gas and heavy machinery. The ratings performed on the CountryRisk.io platform testify to the platform’s quality and to the need it taps into for unbiased, detailed country risk assessments.

New features

We are grateful to our users for sending us a wide range of useful comments and suggestions. We have incorporated many improvements into the latest release of CountryRisk.io:

  • The model now includes and accounts for Local Currency (LCY) and Transfer & Convertibility Risk (T&C) ratings, aside from the existing Foreign Currency (FCY) rating. One analysis generates three rating results: FCY, LCY and T&C.
  • New infographics better highlight the analyst’s rating result compared with those of the community.
  • Updated datasets are based on the latest World Bank and IMF data for 160 countries.

Newcomers can register for a free trial account at www.countryrisk.io. Existing users are invited to login to their accounts to see the new features.

Customization

The CountryRisk.io platform is highly flexible. It can accommodate customized rating models tailored to meet different needs. For example, a customized model might focus on a region or on a sub-sovereign level — for example, China’s provinces — or include specific risk factors covering environmental or social developments.

The CountryRisk.io team is available for demonstrations of our risk-rating platform. We are also happy to show how you can upgrade your existing country risk model and turn it into a modern, efficient and cost-saving tool.
