As high school students, many of us are extremely stressed due to numerous assignments, events, and outside activities that are coming up so suddenly. At times, this may cause kids to get overwhelmed to the point where it may start to affect their health and possibly other things in their lives. This could lead to even worse effects such as nervous breakdowns, anxiety and many more. Is there any possible way to relieve some stress in high school before you take a huge toll on yourself?

According to Isaiah Holmes, there are plenty of ways to relieve your stress whether its for short term or long term goals. In his article “Ways to relieve stress for high school students,” he lists a few things to do for when you need a short term relief or a long term relief. For short term relief, there are three significant things you can do. One that could potentially benefit many stressful high school students is listening to their favorite music. A moment to zone out and listen to good music is a great reliever for stress. Another reliever is doing yoga. Yoga is very peaceful for the mind and can allow you to zone out and reconnect to yourself.

Lastly, taking a small power 20 minute nap that will make you feel more energized and relaxed in the end. These tips can be a necessity in our teenager life but we are going to need some long term reliefs to keep our patterns consistent as possible. The three most important things to do for long term reliefs are getting enough support from our friends, getting the proper sleep an average teenager should have, and trying to stay fit as possible especially if you’re not an athlete. To sum it all up, us teenagers should not allow other things to get the best of us but simply try to stay calm and relax as much as we can in order for high school to be some sort of success.
