Upcoming Album: FOB “M A N I A”
2018 has arrived! It is the start of a new year, a new you but more importantly, new music! Many artists have decided that 2018 is the year to release their most innovative and most anticipated albums.
One of the more popular bands that are releasing an album in the beginning of the new year is Fall Out Boy. January 19 was the date of the release for “Mania”. “Mania” is a mixture of the old Fall Out Boy you know and love along with their own influences that they loved throughout the years.
“Sonically, we are sewing multiple eras of — both our own band and own influences — together in a way that is completely new to us through both the production and writing process.” — Pete Wentz.
This album was originally set for the September of 2017 but was pushed back when Patrick believed that it felt too rushed and isn’t ready. Despite the disappointing album delay, we can appreciate the band’s decision and instead look forward to a even more well produced soundtrack. The track list includes “Young and Menace”, “Champion”, “Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea” ,“Hold Me Tight or Don’t,” “The Last of the Real Ones”, “Wilson (Expensive Mistakes)”, “Church”, “Heaven’s Gate”, “Sunshine Riptide” and “Bishop’s Knife Trick”.
One single, “Young and Menace”, was heavily inspired from the EDM genre; a new sound that Fall Out Boy has been experimenting with. Another single is “Champion,” which was released worldwide on June 23 of 2017. These are just some of the songs you can anticipate on their seventh album.
