Hello! And a warm welcome to the Coupang Engineering blog.

Coupang is one of the largest and fastest growing e-commerce platforms in the world. In 2016, Coupang was listed on the world’s 50 smartest companies by MIT Technology Review for its Rocket Delivery, a last mile delivery. It has also built a mobile-first platform for searching, discovering, and purchasing products. Heart-racing innovations have continued in recent years, but we are still only in the early stages of the journey toward our vision. Our vision is to create a world where customers say, “How did I ever live without Coupang?”

We believe that this key to our vision is knowledge sharing. Our developers in Beijing, Seattle, Seoul, Shanghai, and the Silicon Valley have proactively shared their knowledge and experiences to make Coupang what it is today. Here, we share stories about how we evolved as an e-commerce company, challenges experienced, lessons learned on the way, and the visions we have for the future.
