In a previously mentioned article, written before the present season started, we highlighted that the New England Patriots were the team with the deepest bench. This allowed the Pats, as a personnel rich team, to be the most equipped roster to deal with injuries over the season and leave them with the best chance to win the Super Bowl.
With Brady missing the first four games and Gronk missing the last four, the Patriots still stand out with a first place finish for the regular season and have again made it to the Super Bowl.
You cannot ignore sustained excellence.
Atlanta has a much improved defense as of late and a proven high scoring offense. This most likely will result in a high scoring Super Bowl with NE coming out on top.
