Freelancers have been waiting for a platform built specifically for finding and collaborating with their skilled peers.
We are proud to announce Covailnt’s entered private beta! This crucial next step brings us closer to a community where freelancers maintain their independence while enjoying the camaraderie, career potential, advancement, and security that was often left behind with traditional employment.

The Covailnt Directory
The Covailnt community is a home for any skillset that benefits from collaboration with other complementary skills. You could think of the directory as Covailnt’s family room:
Freelancers in need of partners, collaborators, or simply searching for someone to take on overflow work can browse the entire beta community. Other freelancers can be searched and selected by location, specialty, skillsets, and real-time availability.
Freelancer Profile
The next step after identifying a potential collaborator: due diligence (this is where we are really excited to continue to add features).
Covailnt’s freelancer profiles showcase specialties, skills, background, and a bit of personality. Viewing a profile, fellow freelancers are able to gauge the quality and style of a potential collaborator. If they are a good fit, members can reach out via private message. After that, collaborations happen however both parties see fit.
Collaboration Feed
While the Covailnt Directory takes a passive approach to sharing a freelancer’s availability, the Collaboration feed takes a more active one. Freelancers can broadcast their own open bandwidth or seek out their own specific collaboration needs. Broadcasts can be boosted for maximum visibility across the platform, Covailnt’s social channels, and monthly email digest.
What is on the horizon:
Metrics are going to play a huge part in Covailnt’s platform, but we won’t be hiding what information we are collecting or how it will be used. The data we collect will allow the community to de-risk the question of freelancer quality, and ultimately forecast the potential for delivering quality work in the future.
Armed with this information, any member will be able to spot who has a lot of relevant experience but may have recently started to slip — or the opposite; someone without a lot of experience but packs a lot of promise. This is key to creating a community where trustworthiness and quality are transparent, accurate, and available immediately.
