Dr Carl Benedikt Frey, @carlbfrey joins Covee as a senior advisor.
Dr. Frey is Oxford Martin Citi Fellow at Oxford University where he directs the programme on Technology and Employment at the Oxford Martin School — regarded the world’s leading programme on the future of work. He is one of the most widely cited scholars in the field of workforce automation and the future of work. His prime research interest is the transition of industrial nations to digital economies.
Christoph Riedl, @criedl will help us with conducting field experiments in order to test Covee’s incentive mechanisms.
He is the Joseph G. Riesman assistant professor for Information Systems and Network Science at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. His research interests are to understand how social and economic networks shape collaboration and decision-making on the individual, group, and community level. His work has focused on the open problem of how to design and manage teams, and to harness the wisdom of the crowd and advance the understanding of how social influence and information diffusion in networks shape outcomes on a global scale.
Alessandra Sollberger, @a_sollberger will be our senior advisor on Governance related issues.
Alessandra is a Swiss entrepreneur, investor and speaker. She is an active investor in biotech and an advisor to several blockchain companies, having made her first crypto investment back in 2012. She’s the youngest member on the board of Oxford University’s MSc in Law & Finance.
Sali Zumberi, @salizumberi— Full-stack developer
Sali joins Covee’s engineering team with 5+ years of software engineering experience. He holds a Msc in Software Engineering with minor in Data Science from University of Zurich.
In his own words: “ I am very interested in disruptive technologies, such as Blockchain, Big Data, Machine Learning and Internet of Things. I am thrilled to be joining Covee where I’ll have the opportunity to get my hands on smart contracts and apply my UX/UI skills to a Blockchain platform.”
Rexy Fayed, @rexyfayed — Business development intern
After recently finishing his program on Finance and Marketing in France, Rexy will now be helping us out at Covee over the course of the summer on business development and growth hacking. A blockchain enthusiast since early 2016, he has been self-educating himself on fields such as game theory and cryptoeconomics, and has also published a consumer behavior thesis covering a blockchain-based trust framework.
Tell us about an achievement you are proud of
One ambition of mine is to develop the blockchain ecosystem in South East Asia, starting with my home country Indonesia. Which is why I have been working on a startup called Kriptoku alongside a partner to become the go-to platform to provide information resources such as a market database, news and media, and an education platform. So far, we managed to become a member of an official blockchain association in Indonesia, and have attracted several investors’ interests. Being able to intern here at Covee is an achievement itself as I will be able to learn as much as I can in a country dubbed the Silicon Valley of blockchain projects.
Jennifer Xiao — Software engineer intern
Jennifer will spend her summer in Zurich helping Covee develop the Alpha product. She is currently studying Computer Science at Harvard University. When she is not coding, she writes award-winning poems and attends painting workshops.
Tell us about an achievement you are proud of
I have created an iOS app that raises users’ quality of sleep. This app allows users to customize white noise and soothing sounds into a “song” which they can listen to on repeat as they drift to sleep. I have also developed a sleep efficiency algorithm taking into account users’ sleep duration, percentage of deep sleep, and amount of time spent in bed before falling asleep. This algorithm ranks the user-created songs which are then displayed as a list.
