It takes a true rockstar ego to think you can improve an iconic song. And while the cover album Weezer surprise dropped last week saw mixed reviews, we know there are plenty of covers that reign over their beloved originals.

Limp Bizkit’s “Faith” is better than George Michael’s? We’re declaring it. And sorry, Outkast — Obadiah Parker’s “Hey Ya” just hits harder. We’re even going to go as far as saying John Mayer beat out Queen B herself on “XO.”

I know — who beats The Rolling Stones at their own song? But for real, this is better. Also, this song is in Fear starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg, and it just works.
