Leading Through a Crisis: Lessons Learned and the Road Ahead
The Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative is collaborating with Bloomberg Philanthropies’ COVID-19 Local Response Initiative to support mayors as they manage the pandemic. A tenth virtual discussion session held on May 29, 2020, focused on looking ahead to reopening and reflecting on crisis leadership lessons.
In the tenth session of the COVID-19 Local Response Initiative, Juliette Kayyem, Belfer Senior Lecturer in International Security, Harvard Kennedy School; Dutch Leonard, George F. Baker, Jr. Professor of Public Management, Harvard Kennedy School; and Jorrit de Jong, Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative and Harvard Kennedy School, discussed takeways from the last ten weeks and reflected on lessons learned about leading through this crisis.
Public Health Update
Dr. Josh Sharfstein, Vice Dean for Public Health Practice and Community Engagement at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, provided critical public health updates and reviewed the past 10 weeks.
