How Ronda Rousey Could Beat Floyd Mayweather.

First of all, they are only about 16 pounds apart. He is officially 151 pounds at fight night and she is roughly 135 pounds.

Next, she is used to pressure. The crowds of UFC match are light years more emotional and engaged than crowds even at a Mayweather fight. She competed in the Beijing Olympics in Judo.

She can punch.

She can kick.

She can grapple.

She can fight with her elbows.

She can fight with her knees.

She can punch from the mat.

Mayweather can’t punch from the mat quite like she can.

Oh yeah….Mayweather can punch.

Given UFC rules, she could prevail.

All she has to do is avoid eating a right hand or an upper cut or a hook. If that happens I would bet the show’s over. But even that wouldn’t be a guaranteed outcome. She is tough as nails and has taken shots before. But I could see a fight where Mayweather tosses a jab-right hand combo out there and Rousey goes under it and shoots inside. The second she gets her arms around him, she has the advantage. The second she closes distance and pins him, anything could happen.

The second that Rousey o goshi’s him (hip throw) to the mat and follows up, and starts wrestling him, she would be in a position to win.

I think it’s inevitable that a woman will win a national or world combat championship one day. This one would be a lot closer than you think.
