At Cowboy, we are excited about the opportunity for new, visually gorgeous, more creative, collaborative, safe, and authentic social experiences. So we are thrilled to announce our investment in The Landing, a new social platform that empowers people to design, create, inspire and have fun together visually.

The Landing enables users to discover, create, remix, and connect with modern mood boards. Similar to the way Figma and Canva enable users to easily create and visualize together in the context of the workplace, The Landing makes it super easy to make, share and get feedback on creative product layouts.

They are starting with a focus on interior design, a space filled with creators who currently leverage Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and even Photoshop and Powerpoint to make visual content and share their visual identity. On TikTok alone, there have been almost 5B views of videos that have the hashtag #InteriorDesign, indicating a demand for this type of content. In the future, the company will expand into other areas where product discovery would benefit from a collaborative and creative experience.

When we met Ellie, Miri, and Greg, we were blown away by their passion and vision for this space. Ellie and Miri originally teamed up to help consumers design their spaces and then physically help them to move in. With the pandemic, the team quickly pivoted to an evolved vision focused on leveraging the power of social design and brought on Greg, who was an engineering manager on the Airbnb Plus team with a fitting side hobby making furniture.

The Landing is launching its new creator tool today and has an exciting product roadmap for the next few months, including additional social features. We are thrilled to back this team alongside friends at Unshackled Ventures, Dream Machine, Designer Fund, Progression Fund, and an amazing group of angels including Dara Treseder (CMO of Peloton), Mariam Naficy (Founder and CEO of Minted), and Manish Chandra and Tracy Sun (Founders of Poshmark)!

If you’re someone who misses Polyvore, or has saved favorite products on Pinterest, or if you’re a designer working with clients or friends on private pinboards — hope you’ll give The Landing a try. And send us your input and suggestions — we want to build a digital hang out you love to build and spend time in.

Also, The Landing is hiring — check out open roles here.
