We’re excited to announce Cowboy Ventures has partnered with the incredible team at LaunchNotes on their seed round!
LaunchNotes is focused on a top pain point for product managers and product marketers — managing the information flow and collaboration between technical and non-technical teams. For years, we’ve heard from product leaders about how much energy goes into keeping relevant stakeholders in sync with the product development pipeline. The adoption of CI / CD practices and increased velocity in software development has made this pain point more acute, often leaving teams outside of engineering in the dark on product updates that affect the customer experience.
LaunchNotes solves that problem by providing a single place where product managers and product marketers can centralize and manage all information related to upcoming product changes. LaunchNotes actively communicates updates to relevant teams and stakeholders across the business and to customers, ensuring everyone engaged with the product has the most up-to-date information.
In today’s world, information about product updates is spread across multiple systems. Product teams piece together information from Slack, emails, Google Docs, spreadsheets, Atlassian Jira tickets and live conversations to understand the latest updates from engineering on what’s included in upcoming releases, as well as timing. They then piecemeal communications out to non-technical teams and customers. The LaunchNotes founders became intimately familiar with this problem during their time at Atlassian, and saw an opportunity to build a system of record for product teams to consolidate and communicate product changes.
Tyler Davis, Jake Brereton, and Tony Ramirez have collectively spent over 25 years across engineering, support, marketing, growth, and sales at SaaS companies, giving them a deep understanding of the problems that arise when product changes aren’t well communicated or understood.
We’re thankful for the opportunity to partner with LaunchNotes as they enable organizations to move at the speed of modern software development, and make people’s work lives more enjoyable with better software.
