1. Is it OK for me to participate by myself at the Hackathon even if I have no team/startup idea?
For sure! You can participate by yourself and join an already formed team that’s looking for extra power ;) Fill in this form right here — we wanna help you find a team or gather a team if you already have an idea.
2. How many members can a team have?
We recommend your team be formed out of 2 to 5 members. If you have more members than that, feel free to bring them over. We won’t say “no” to you.
3. Do I have to have technical skills for me to be eligible for this program?
No, no you don’t. A tech startup is much more than its technical component. It needs designers, marketers, managers, business experts. There’s plenty of room for everyone to get involved.
4. Why does my idea need to have a technical component to it?
This is something that your idea must have in order to participate in the Innovation Labs program. Why? Because we want the future startups that go through this program to be able to be scalable, which means to be able to expand and reach a lot of people with minimal effort and costs. The technical component should be able to provide the foundation from which this could happen.
5. Do I need a functional prototype of my idea for the Hackathon?
No, no, no. All you need is — literally — your idea. If you have more, then that’s an advantage, of course, but you are just as welcomed with nothing more than an idea as if you would’ve had more.
6. Then what’s that “tech demo” thing on Sunday about?
The tech demo is merely a preview of what you’d like to have built by the end of the program, which is in 5 months’ time.
7. Can I use this project as a license/dissertation paper/ doctoral thesis?
For sure you can do that. That’s actually a great idea!
8. May I participate in this program with an idea that’s also signed up for other programs?
As long as you haven’t participated in THIS program with your idea, feel free to join us asap!
