Proptech (short term for Property Technology) is all about disrupting the real estate industry. How? By looking at it differently. Not just focusing on buildings but also on how technology can be used to transform the market by understanding better the end-consumers, their needs and expectations. One of the biggest event in the sector is FUTURE:Proptech THE conference all about the topic. Started by Gary Chimwa it is THE annual meeting for the industry, happening in London and 2 other cities (scroll down to know which one :)). How does the PropTech industry sees coworking? We sat down with Charlotte Mc Carty, Director of Marketing and Partnerships for the conference to talk about it.

So Charlotte, tell us, what exactly is Future PROPTECH?

FUTURE: PropTech is the World’s Number One PropTech Event! We are well established as the leading & most well attended global event dedicated to the technology innovation & digital transformation occurring in the wider Real Estate sector. Since our launch in 2015, we have expanded to 3 countries and have grown our database, community & attendee’s to over 13,000 real estate professionals. We work with hundreds of startups and technology companies to connect them with established real estate companies such as asset managers, institutional investors, private equity, owners, operators, property developers, brokers, estate agents, landlords, professional services (legal, accounting, advisory), facility managers, architects, VC’s, PR, media and more.

We are building the biggest PropTech community globally. Join us for our upcoming events in Berlin, Vienna & London.

We were the first & original event to focus on the digital transformation of the real estate sector and proud to say we are still considered the very best!

Is there a focus for the 2019 edition?

The 2019 show will focus on ‘Open Collaboration’.

Can you give us some hints on some of the speakers?

We are looking forward to welcoming you Pauline, to speak about the future of workplaces! Our other thought leaders include leaders from the following companies: JLL Spark, Cushman and Wakefield, Softbank, Airbnb, Union Investment, CBRE and many more! This year, we will expect 100 international speakers.

For whom is the conference?

The conference is for real estate players spanning all sectors, as well as innovators looking to meet the real estate decision makers. We welcome anyone with an interest in this sector!

We are all about Coworking at Coworkies, will this be tackled during the conference?

The future of real estate is our main theme at FUTURE PropTech, so coworking will be a major topic. We will look at the future of the workplace and are excited to be co-hosting a hackathon for working in partnership with Coworkies and Harbour84! If you are interested in coworking and the competition in the market, then this conference should be high on your agenda!

The best advice you can give to people who are attending to make the most out of the conference?

Then wait until February, when you can download our event app and access our entire delegate list and partner info. You can then prebook meetings in order to make the most of the event! On the day, I recommend introducing yourself to everyone. You never know who can help down the line! Bring lots of business cards. And finally, have fun and learn as much as you can through our thought provoking sessions!
