Sunday Around Moscow
Hello Chapel Roswell family! Today, we started our first full day in Moscow. We got to see the city and get to know the Russian culture a little more.
The team started the morning (after breakfast) with a quick stroll through the Red Square and seeing the Kremlin from afar. In the square we hopped on a double decker city tour bus and rode around Moscow.
After the tour we had a quick lunch and had about 30 minutes of rest before we headed to the host church for their Sunday service. The church is very young, but active. It was great to be with their group and sing hymns, share scripture, and hear a sermon (lead by Eric) translated in their native tongue.
After dinner at the Church, we headed to the Russian ballet as a thank you from the host to see the Nutcracker and finished the night with gelato!
Tomorrow, before getting ready to head to camp, we will be doing a full tour of the Red Square/Kremlin. We are excited to continue in this trip and start working towards meeting the campers and the rest of the youth assisting us.
Here is the video we shared in Chapel Roswell this morning from the Red Square. Thanks again for everyone’s love and support on our trip!
