Crypto ATM industry is rising. Why is it important?

Crypto market is growing strong, and here is a new proof of that: a new study by MarketsAndMarkets predicts that the Bitcoin and crypto ATM industry will increase from the current estimated $16 mln. to over $140 mln. in the nearest five years!

Note: the industry witnessed the rise of crypto ATMs during the last year by more than 50% (over the past few months especially).

Crypto ATM will rise as cryptocurrencies grow

The research pointed out the simple truth: when the cryptocurrencies grow, so is the number of crypto ATMs (and the transactions conducted through it accordingly). Currently, there are 3,650 Bitcoin ATMs in the world. And even more to it: the research states out that at least 30 of new bitcoin ATMs are installed each week. The report also pointed out that the market for crypto-to-crypto virtual currency ATMs will also grow significantly leading up to 2023.

North America will continue its expansion

Nowadays the biggest number of Bitcoin ATMs are located in North America (roughly 2250 ATMs installed currently), and as the report states, North America will continue to dominate in that space.

Speaking about the top countries in the industry: these are USA, Canada and Austria, which are the top 3 countries with the biggest number of ATMs installed, and UK, Russia and Spain also successfully installing new machines day by day. By the way, the major players in the crypto ATM market are also based in the USA.

Important to note that almost all the crypto ATMs today serve Bitcoin (only around of 50% of ATMs are supporting other coins).

Therefore, it isn’t the question, whether crypto ATM industry will be skyrocketing during the nearest future. The question is how this growth will affect Bitcoin and other coins?
