Art of giving out useless information

Me: So what happened just now?

Mother: Well, he took that and gave it to him so he was not happy, then she scolded him because she also needed that what and now they are not talking so he is trying to help.

Me: Erm, OK, thanks…

Prevention is better than cure

Me: What?

Mother: These are insecticide.

Me: I know. I mean, why are you putting them in my room?

Mother: They can act as deterrence! No cockroaches or ants are going to come to your room! Also, there’s no space in the storeroom.

Showing concern is imperative

Mother: Don’t you find your room a little too bright?

Me: A bit, yeah.

Mother: OK. (went out and came back with clothes. Hung clothes at my window) Here, curtains! Isn’t it better?

Looking at the bright side

Mother: No, only your father, you and I are eating lunch. And she told me she is coming back to eat! Thank goodness I only bought three sets because I don’t know if I can finish it. I’m clever, eh?

Importance of applying knowledge

Me: So, what did you learn at the computer class?

Mother: Oh, they taught us a lot and even the Internet! I even have my own email address! Here, let me show you. (sat in front of the computer and looked around) How do you turn on this thing?

Me: I thought you went for classes?

Mother: Well, yeah! But they never teach us how to turn on the computers! The computers are always turned on when we are there!

I love my Mum. She just brightens my day up.
