#21 Bits & Bobs
Today was a wee bit miserable. Although I was completely unmotivated to create anything beautiful for this Crafty Sunday, I felt that it was an appropriate day to get a few bits and bobs done that I’d been putting off. I managed to de-mould our wardrobe, re-pot the pot-plants, and fix a few coats and my favourite hand-bag. It all took about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and although it wasn’t overly creative, it was off-screen and I was definitely working with my hands.
What I leant:
- Plants are beautifully resistant, in such unique ways. One of my favourite succulents grows new plants from old leaves. Another grows roots above the ground to find more nutrients, and another sends out new shoots to find more productive soil. They’re such clever little things.
- It’s hard to find nice plant pots.
- Crafty Sundays really start on Mondays, when I start thinking about what I’ll do and what I’ll need to do it in the coming weekend. Weeks like this come from a lack of planning — but with quite a bit on at the moment, I’m pretty happy to get anything done at all.
- I don’t learn much from non-creative activities. Or maybe I just wasn’t in the mood.
