Accessing cosmetics in Crayta
How to get your hands on the most stylish cosmetics!
If you’ve been exploring Crayta since we launched last week, you’ll have noticed that there’s a wide range of ways to express yourself in the game.
In addition to all the body shape, eye colour, skin tone and other elements of character customisation, you’re also able to choose from a selection of outfits, sprays, emotes, icons, emoticons, music stings, and drones.
There are a variety of different ways to access everything on offer though, so we thought it’d be useful to outline all the options here!
Level Up
The first, and simplest, way to unlock new goodies is just by playing Crayta! You’ll earn XP by playing games, teaming up with others, creating your own experiences, and a selection of other activities.
As you level up, you unlock new items that you can equip in any configuration you fancy, including a number of new Outfit Collections…
Outfit Collections
Speaking of… we’re really proud of the amazing outfits that our art team have created, and you may already have noticed that some of them come in ‘collections’. These contain multiple outfits along the same theme — in order to get them all you need to earn a certain amount of XP while wearing variants you’ve already unlocked.
Crayta’s Store
You will have 500 Crayta Credits if you bought Premium Edition (or 1,000 with the Deluxe Edition), and you can spend these in the Crayta Store to purchase any other cosmetics you fancy (you can also buy new bundles via the Stadia store if you run out.)
There’s a daily rotation of new items coming in and out of the Store but if you miss something, it’s not the end of the world — it’ll probably come back round soon! However, each season there are some items that will go out of rotation once the season’s over (these are marked as Blue or Orange “rarities”).
Seasons
You want to know more about these seasons, you say? As we’ve teased a bit before, we’ve got a number of seasons planned for the rest of 2020, and each of them comes with some excellent new cosmetic content — some of which is free for Premium and Deluxe Edition players, and some comes into rotation in the Store.
As well as all the cosmetic items that come with each season, there’ll be a pile of new meshes and other assets along the same theme for you to use in your creations.
Our first season (coming really soon!) will be Summer Sports. Originally planned to coincide with this summer’s Olympic Games, we decided we all needed the exercise anyway, even if the Olympics have been pushed back to next year. 😉
Make sure you log in at least once per week of Summer Sports to claim your collection of outfits, sprays, icons, emotes and more!
Coming later in the year will be Sci-fi Colonies and Dark Circus — we know you’re going to love all the new items and challenges we’ll be bringing you in each season, and we look forward to seeing how you all make use of them!
