Craytans, the time has come to announce the winners of the Build-a-Base Build Jam, our first ever $50,000 prize pool Jam; and what a success you all made it!
The Jam ran for two weeks, allowing creators to create anything they wanted, whether physical builds, code, UI, or a combination, to the theme of ‘Build-A-Base’, enabling new creators to use the packages to create their very own base.
It was amazing to see so many new creators join the fray, with over half of the entries being your first published creation in Crayta! Our existing community really rose to the challenge, and created some of the best work we’ve seen from them. I know you all loved welcoming and nurturing the new talent, and love seeing this community grow; you have made us a very happy team!
Now, the awards are as follows:

Best Architectural Design
LittleCreator — Medieval Village
This set of beautifully and lovingly built medieval buildings includes houses, forges, a church and more was made by a brand new user! They look lifted right out of a movie, and we love that creators can have a set in seconds with pieces that took a lot of time!
Most Technically Impressive
MightyKho — Mighty Construction
The award specified something we never thought possible, and this ability to do Top Down RTS has blown our minds! The package enabled the ability to drag and drop your buildings onto the world, and then with one click go back to third person and explore your newly created world!
Most Efficient
Slaterbburn — Neon City Hub/HQ
This intricate structure is only 102 entities, and looks incredible with so much to explore. With such efficient building, creators can add so much to make the inside unique and special to them!
Most Aesthetically Pleasing
Tumbak7 — Houses and Buildings
Built over three themes, this beautiful collection of houses, buildings and props has so much attention to detail, and fully decorated (with the option to remove) to perfection. Each one stands alone as a strong entry, but there’s so many to choose from, and very pleasing to the eye!
Best Code Based Package
Vilvalas — Tower Defense with Pathfinding
A really innovative piece of code that enables creators to build towers to defend against enemies spawning along a path to reach your base. This type of game is lacking currently in Crayta and we think this wonderful package will change that, and we’re very excited!
Best Hangout or Social Space
DryCereal (DryCoast and Cereal) — Treetops Build-a-Base
These gorgeous treehouses are split into three sections with 9 options to customise how you want, and all parts fit perfectly. Or use the sections individually to create the social space of your childhood dreams! The showcase was also absolutely stunning, definitely check that out!
Most Versatile
Ekelrock — Small Starter Maps
With 10 options to choose from, these have such limitless possibilities, giving new creators an environment to build whatever game they want. You can even paint your own version, as he has included blank versions of each map in the package!
Most Unexpected / Out the Box
Plasmawaves — Smart Glass Package
This very clever package allows you to have one-way glass panes, where the player on one side can see through, and blocked the other. There are many options included, and we really did not expect this package at all, but can really see creators finding inventive uses for this in their bases!

VICENTEK — MILITARY BASE PACK
Detailed, beautiful, well designed and made so accessible for new creators. Everything fits together, with room to customise yourself, with a huge range of parts to make yours unique, as well as stand alone parts to build up the environment. It even includes a sample map! Wonderful work, and a very well deserved win!
2ND PLACE
TUMBAK7 — HOUSES AND BUILDINGS
Designed in three themes — Town, Industrial and Tropical, these beautifully designed and decorated houses work together or individually for anyone to drop in and use however they want! A huge quantity and range, this package is truly versatile, detailed, and useful for all creators.

MOCHI — CRAFTING PACKAGE
This slick, brilliant package allows creators to specify different meshes or voxel builds to combine and craft new determined items. We think lots of creators will be implementing this, playing with it’s capabilities, and creating new experiences in Crayta. It makes something previously very difficult, very accessible for those new to creation, and can see it in adventures, tycoons, puzzles and much much more!
