I’m sure you’ve seen their charts and graphs.

You know, the ones that “build in public” and have their incomes displayed.

Why do they do this? What’s the advantage?

Here’s the crucial trait they’re banking on: credibility.

The income statements and follower brags show that others are interested, and therefore, you should be, too.

Without credibility, readers disengage.

With credibility, trust and engagement follow, you build a loyal audience and then you’ll get propelled forward.

The importance of trustworthiness…

When readers trust you, they hang on to your every word, share your content, and act on your ideas.

More Medium followers.

More newsletter followers.

More sales and revenue.

Imagine a writer who consistently delivers well-researched, honest content. People know that when this writer speaks, it’s worth listening.

Charisma alone can’t sustain a reader base without credibility.

It might draw readers initially, but without trust, they won’t stay.

Being a credible writer means more brand growth…

Credible writers retain their audience better, which is crucial for brand growth.

When readers trust your voice and value your content, they return for more.

This repeated engagement is the foundation of a growing online brand.

It wouldn’t do me any good to constantly talk about note-taking, but then not take any notes myself.
