Career Misconception #4
Short Career Tips: I Don’t Need to Plan My Career-Wrong!
Career planning is very essential for you to have a clear view and understanding of actions you must do as you take one step forward to your career success. In other words, you must Create Your Career! I have a full YouTube Talk Show about it. When you plan your progress, you must define your goals and seek to formulate effective ways to achieve your objective.
As far as a person’s working career experience is concerned, it is commonly estimated that a person changes his/her jobs six to ten times. There is no more of “being loyal and waiting on a pension,” which by the way, there is nothing wrong, it is just becoming rare as Baby Boomers retire and Gen Xers are settling in. Grab a notebook and write down what you want for your career. Now ask yourself does your company offer any classes to help you gain the skills needed, if not seek outside sources like LinkedIn Learning. Gain the skills you need to succeed.
