think about your transits.

those short and brief or the slightly long layovers.

you are not where you started

and haven’t reached where you want to be.

you are in between. you are part of an onward journey.

so how you try to make time only for the essentials. just doing enough to keep you happy till the next leg of travel. and you don’t take any of the unfavorable situations or delays or closures personally.

you don’t get attached to the airport, the cabin crew or your fellow travelers. you know their role is just to aid your travel, so they come and go as need be.

in a way, all of them are traveling with you but are living their own journey.

how you also learn about what others are wearing, their color or language reflects where they have come from but doesn’t have a bearing on where they are headed. you see and accept and seek to understand or choose to ignore.

and amidst so much activity, when your time does come. you leave. onward. the next leg could lead to you another layover or probably that could be your destination. either way you hop on and take off.

now your life.

isn’t it similar to these transits? shouldn’t we live life too the same way, like a layover while headed from nothing into infinity. shouldn’t it be as easy and stress free?
