Here is a copy of my design document for the game. Ideally, I would like for this game to be played either from a first-person or a third person perspective, where the player possesses a basic shape (like a cube), and moves throughout the field to find special objects (colored spheres) before the timer hits zero. However, with the movement mechanism in mind, this may be confusing for the player, so a third-person perspective might have to be used. I am still working on the blueprint for this game, but my ideal movement mechanism would be for the cube to be rotating in four directions clockwise, and it stops rotating on the press of the spacebar, and moves in the stopped direction on the release of the space bar. This provides some challenge to the user and requires a sense of strategy when searching for the objects in this game.

The objects in this game will be colored spheres and the player collects these by colliding into them. Hidden in the game will be one “super special object” which will give the player extra time. The difficulty of this game will derive from the user needing to figure out the controls and to navigate the environment where the objects are hidden.
