Having an opinion is important. Opinions bring new ideas. Opinions bring about change. That is why it is not just important to have an opinion but to share it as well.

Centuries ago life was different. Not all men were considered and treated equal. Then some one had an opinion that all men should equal. It would not have been a popular opinion then. Still people believed in it. The world we have today would not have been possible without such opinions. Especially opinions which went against what everyone believed in then.

Opinions define us. They help us understand what we believe in and what we are. To have a opinion about anything we need to have knowledge. Also when we have an opinion we take a stand. It helps us to understand ourselves. When you have your own opinion we are more confident. Without having opinions and discussing about them, we cannot grow.

Everyone should have their own opinion and be able to voice it. No matter what it is. Of course, that does not mean your opinion is always right. But, you’re certainly entitled to your opinion. — Tim McGraw

Sharing our opinion is equally important. But sharing your opinions does not mean to prove others opinions as wrong. Opinions are not facts. They can never be right or wrong, but depend on perspective. And at the same time when we share our opinion we should be able to understand others opinion. It is only when we are able to see the different point of views that we will be able to have a correct understanding of anything.

The most important thing about opinions

I have had many opinions and years later I have realised that many were incorrect. My opinions were based on a strong bias and lack of knowledge. And it was difficult for me to accept it. But I have now and I have changed my opinions.

This article is not just about having and sharing your opinions. The most important thing is that we challenge our opinions. That we have an open mind about it. We understand that opinions are not facts. As we learn new things about the world, about ourselves, we will realise that a lot of what we believed was incorrect.

We should not be ashamed to accept that we were wrong and modify our opinions. Because this is what makes opinions powerful.
