The field has been set. Thanks to last week’s play-in (and a coin flip), we have set our Elite Eight. The rules are the same as last year:

Over the next week, we will collect feedback from our readers to determine which solutions will proceed to the Final Four. To participate, simply leave a comment below (or on any of our other platforms). In that comment select ONE winner from a single head to head contest. Please include a brief reason why. You may comment as many times as you would like, so long as you have a unique reason.

In one week, we will post the results for our new Final Four. By the end of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, we will have a fan choice for Business Intelligence champion. Enjoy! And please keep the comments professional.

This Week’s Match-Ups

Qlik vs Birst— last year’s winner against the highly advertised contender who proclaims Data as a Service. You can read more on Qlik, our defending champion, here. Learn more about Birst here.

SAP (BObj) vs Looker— an old hand takes on a disrupter. More on Business Objects is available here. For more on Looker use this link.

Microstrategy vs Domo — a market leader vs a game changer. More on Microstrategy can be found here. Learn more about Domo via this link.

Tableau vs Kibana (ELK)— the battle of two innovative models. Read more about Tableau’s play for your desktop here. Learn more about open source Kibana here.

Comment. Share. Inform. Enjoy the competition. And once again, thanks for reading! Voting has ended, check out The Final Four.

BI Madness is a concept created by Corsair’s Institute. Neither this tournament nor Corsair’s Institute is associated with the NCAA in any way. Business Intelligence should never be confused with basketball. Anyone who has seen us on the court would surely agree.
