Greetings from the other side. I have been working at lightning pace developing my newest writing project. It was time to finally get around to putting together the book I envisioned when I joined Medium years ago. Unfortunately, you can’t monetize a book quite the same way you do regular articles. The advertising model just doesn’t fly.
Lies, Bias, and Bullshit — will have that familiar tone that most of my readers expect. A little sarcasm, a little bombast, and a little fun. But is also one of my more serious writing endeavors. I am not trying to bring awareness or introduce new audiences — this book is about the Digital Age and the Information Revolution that is unfolding. It is serious and practical. It is also entertaining.
I share stories from my past and views of the future that are not as wide spread as they should be. I delve into the nature of misinformation, the deluge of data in our time, and the possibilities for AI and other tools in the days ahead. I share a very practical set of frameworks and best practices that can help any organization in their data journey.
Finally — it is incredibly transparent. Subscribers get a front row seat to this book as it evolves. I publish daily drafts of the content as I generate them, including data visualizations I use in the book and during speaking and conference engagements.
