The day through the eyes of a synthesizer…

Calgary Arts Development invited a number of experienced arts leaders to participate as note-takers and synthesizers at the Creative Calgary Congress. Each was assigned to one of the open afternoon sessions, taking notes and capturing what took place during the sessions.

Judy Lawrence was the synthesizer for the sessions run by Anne Flynn. In addition, Judy offered the following synthesis of the entire event.

She has also served in leadership positions with Alberta Theatre Projects and GlobalFest’s One World Festival, and currently freelances as a Project Development leader and arts management strategist. About the Creative Calgary Congress

Calgary Arts Development produced the first Arts Champions Congress in 2011 as a meeting place for people who make Calgary’s arts sector a vibrant and exciting place to work and our city a great place to live.

Renamed the Creative Calgary Congress in 2014, it returned on November 22, 2016 as a place to share ideas and explore ways that the arts and artists can play a leadership role in making Calgary a more curious, compassionate and creative place for all citizens.
