The End

There are no words good enough to describe how wonderful it was to witness this experience, for me. I am thrilled by the enthusiasm, talent, and spirit within each person who contributed to Doodletober.

Thank you to everyone who witnessed this experience with us, and who cheered the participants on! Seeing the warmth and love shown to our community of creators, was such a gift.

Thank you, Mark Starlin, Pascal Gaggelli, Bill Ender, Douglas Balmain, Carley Cooper, Brett Christensen, David S., Mal, Kathryn Dillon, Kendall Lyons, Crystal Gillis, and Sarah Healy for your outstanding contributions! You people make life more fun. :)

I also want to thank Kathryn Dillon for stepping in this month as a substitute editor, so I could visit my favorite place in the world and unplug for a few days. If you didn’t notice, all of my contributions for Doodletober were inspired by Big Sur, California. If you’ve never been, I strongly encourage you to go!

And of course, I can’t forget to say a HUGE thank you to Mark Starlin for being such a fantastic co-creator for this challenge! Mark, you are a gem. And to the participants, Mark had something to say as well:

“I want to thank everyone who participated in Doodletober. I really enjoyed seeing the variety of doodles, and the clever takes on the prompts. I especially enjoyed the artist’s stories and comments (and photos!) that accompanied the doodles. I hope you had as much fun as I did!”

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did, too.

I spent a lot of time this month thinking about how I wish there was a way to reward each of you for your creative efforts. The more I thought about it, the more these five words kept floating through my mind:

The process is the reward.

This is the true spirit of Creative Humans.
I hope you feel the same.

Create on, beautiful people.
