Summer’s aqueous abundance
Withered in winter’s bite —
Lands desiccated,
Lakes shrivel,
Rivers slither.
April rains inundate,
Streams flow gently
Softening crispy leaves,
Frog choruses rejoice,
Peeping hallelujahs.
