Winter approaches and those balmy warm days have long gone. We have waved farewell to those strapless tops, bikinis, and shorts.

The cold has dropped in on us like a seagull drops its load on the unsuspecting beach walkeršŸ¤£.

ā€œItā€™s time for the big coats,ā€ as I heard from so many whilst living in the north of England.

ā€œWinter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.ā€

Edith Sitwell.
