Life by the meadows
A Poem
Simple living, a life unencumbered
Free from excess, a path less stumbled
A pace that is slow
With time to watch the flow
Of nature, so serene and unbounded
No need for material gain
Or the constant search for fame
Content with the small things
A joy that true wealth brings
Living in harmony, without blame
A garden to tend, a roof overhead
A community to call friends, instead
Of chasing after wealth
Or the need for stealth
A life that is richer, not lead
Simple living, a life of ease
With nature, in perfect peace
A path that is true
With time to see the dew
And live a life that will never cease.

I started writing normal poetry and it ended up as a limerick :-) Have to learn to zone out of mode :-)
