Witch City Writers Group Meet Up and Write, Gulu Gulu Café, 247 Essex St.

Let’s set aside some time to do some writing. Please bring a current project to work on. There will be a writing prompt available if you don’t have a current project, want to take a break from it, or need fresh inspiration. Salem State Writers Series: Regie Gibson, The Underground, Ellison Campus Center, 352 Lafayette St., North Campus, Salem State University

Poet and performance artist Regie Gibson has has performed, taught, and lectured at schools, universities, theaters and various other venues in the U.S., Cuba and Europe. His full-length book of poetry Storms Beneath The Skin (2001, EM Press) received the Golden Pen Award.

Incessant Pipe Poetry Salon, Salem Athenaeum, 337 Essex St.

The Incessant Pipe Poetry Salon meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month upstairs in the Salem Athenaeum. “The Pipe” is a space to read poetry, yours or others, and discuss everything from the price of tea in China to quantum particles (as long as it relates back to poetry). All styles of poetry are welcome.
