Today, Creaton is pleased to announce a new partnership and integration with Superfluid, a new DeFi primitive protocol focused on automating recurring transactions to enable real-time finance. The vision of this partnership, born out of collaborating at ETHDenver 2021, is to expand and cater further to the Creaton’s grand vision of creating a decentralized content-sharing platform.

Financial operations like subscriptions, salaries, rewards, and any composable stream of value usually require many repetitive and expensive transactions to be processed on-chain. Enter Superfluid Protocol, an Ethereum based framework that creates transparency into the flow of the subscriptions, allowing a clear view into the flow and stream of money. By publishing a single transaction, a user could agree to transfer 10 DAI per month in a constant stream. With every second, a tiny amount of DAI will flow between the two wallets, without any need for gas or any further transactions by either the sender or the receiver.

Creaton, as a platform allowing subscriptions to creators, is a great use-case of Superfluid in the real world. Creaton takes advantage of Superfluid’s SuperApp framework, a collection of smart contracts that allows us to manage the different agreements and set up the necessary callbacks. This way, we were able to implement the treasury architecture to collect platform fees, allowing users and entities on the platform to create, terminate , and watch flows of their income directly in real-time.

“Superfluid is the only functioning recurring transactions protocol where you can stream money forever. Creaton wouldn’t be possible without streamable subscriptions so we’re excited to collaborate with Superfluid” — Alex, Creaton co-founder

Superfluid provides transparency into the flow of money in the system. By integrating it, Creaton is giving back non-custodial control of that flow to the user.

“Creaton is an amazing team, building with a full-stack web3 mentality. With decentralized storage, next-gen encryption-based access management, and automated streaming subscriptions, Creaton is a perfect match for any content creator who takes self-sovereignty seriously. ” — Francesco, Superfluid Co-founder & CEO

The integration of Superfluid into Creaton is the first phase of this collaboration. As part of this partnership, Creaton will work closely with the Superfluid team throughout various development cycles as they bring their vision of programmable subscriptions to life.

Creaton is a decentralized content-sharing platform that allows for secure transfer of content in exchange for streaming subscription payments. We provide a censorship-free alternative to centralized applications where our users are the only beneficiaries and fully control their data. Creaton has two main products as part of its ecosystem, Creaton Engine, and Creaton Market. Both are futuristic approaches to peer-to-peer content-sharing and highly well-suited with the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) economy, for creators to create unique revenue streams, build reputation, and award their early supporters. Superfluid is a new DeFi primitive that automates recurring transactions, the protocol introduces a series of building blocks for web3 developers to enable real-time finance. Superfluid smart contract framework unlocks idle capital by enabling users to move assets on-chain and apply predefined rules called “agreements” to asset transfers. Superfluid only requires one on-chain transaction to open, edit or close a subscription, greatly decreasing the cognitive and administrative efforts that would have been involved for other types of recurring payments.
