As a full-time professional writer who works entirely online, these are some things that I always notice when people do them. Sloppy or lazy work when researching, sharing, or writing can make you seem amateurish, and you will drive your editors crazy.

1. Shorten Your Links
There is nothing more annoying than having someone post a link that is extremely long. Many people do not even realize how links work, and their long links are also giving away information that they probably don’t want their editor or clients to know.
For example, did you know that a link can show you exactly what you searched to generate that link?
If you work as a personal assistant and your boss asks to you find the best TV for their office waiting room and you search for one and send them a link it probably will end up looking something like this.
