I remember when I started my first online store.
I was pretty stocked.
Getting the' perfect' domain name took me three days of research.
Then I paid for web hosting, got the prettiest website template, and built my site.
It was a dropshipping store, I was selling watches that I shipped from manufacturers in China using a site called Aliexpress.
After a week of setting everything up, my store finally went live.
I was now in business, and I’d reached the elusive entrepreneur status, so I changed my Twitter bio to “eCommerce Entrepreneur”.
Then days went by, I posted on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
I waited for customers to come but no one showed up.
I thought that if I built it, they would come. Looking back now, I realize how wrong I was.
Building up the website and getting everything fixed up was just step one. The real work lies in promoting and selling.
The watches I was selling weren’t bad though.
At the time, they were the hot thing and I was even among the first to start selling…
