Axolotls Are Endangered And we Need to do Something About it

It’s hard to not show some sort of sympathy for these beautiful and cute salamanders!

The Axolotl Can Be Found in the wild at Lake Xochimilco and Lake Chalco. At least the Axolotl use to be found at Lake Chalco but they no longer live there due to the lake's nature flooding, it has now been drained dry. The Axolotls can now be found at Lake Xochimilco. This is sad for the axolotls since the lake they currently live in is a canal lake. They are merely in a shadow of their former glory but luckily they are kept alive by the people in Mexico, and others in the fish-keeping hobby.

Asian Carp By Detroit Free Press

The African Talapia and Asian Carp have been introduced into the Axolotls environment. This has brought more harm than good for the axolotl with the invaders eating the axolotls young and their main food source.
