Credify’s Plug & Play Focus Week
The week of 20th January 2020 was an important one for Credify with our participation in Plug & Play’s Focus Week. Our selection in Plug & Play’s FinTech accelerator program in Tokyo was an important milestone and Focus Week was all about connecting Credify with several Japanese corporates to explore potential collaborations and business opportunities.
Focus week kicked off with an informal gathering of all the FinTech startups in the current accelerator cohort. Credify is uniquely positioned with its South-East Asian focused and Japanese-core, as both co-founders are Japanese nationals.
The team had the opportunity to describe its technology and products several times, both on the stage in front of several potential clients and partners and in one-on-one meetings organized by the ever efficient and friendly Plug & Play Japan team.
Plug and Play Japan’s Focus Week also provided several opportunities for the team to network informally with senior managers of Japanese corporates and explain the technology developed by Credify and the company’s vision to elevate trust in global market places and digital finance, starting with South East Asia.
Credify’s participation in Plug and Play Japan’s accelerator program comes hot on the heels of being awarded the UK Tech Rocketship: Future of Financial Services Award 2019 by the UK’s Department of International Trade and Scottish Development International. Our CEO and Head of Engineering will travel to London and Edinburgh in February in a UK Government-sponsored trip to explore business, research & development opportunities in the United Kingdom.
Focus Week ended on a high note with a dinner organized by Plug & Play Japan’s FinTech program managers and staff, with a surprise guest appearance by Toan Nguyen, the CEO of Credify’s technology partner and minority shareholder TP&P Technology.
