Creditcoin’s Real-World EVM Testnet is Live!
Join the gamified testnet to rack up points from social and on-chain activities to earn rewards toward the mainnet launch.
We’re excited to announce that Creditcoin’s gamified EVM Testnet is officially live, heralding the beginning of the next era in the protocol’s evolution and your chance to accumulate reward points toward the EVM mainnet launch later this year, which can include rewards such as CTC tokens, stablecoins, NFTs, and ecosystem airdrops.
With your participation, the Creditcoin Real-World EVM Testnet is aiming to kickstart dApp development on our blockchain, with $20k in grants available for the community’s most in-demand dApp projects.
Creditcoin Steps Into The Future
During its existence, Creditcoin has reshaped the global credit industry, with over 4.27 million real-world credit transactions recorded, worth approximately $79.7 million USD, and 337,000+ customers served in emerging markets worldwide.
With demand growing for more complex and ‘smart’ financial solutions every day, we decided to upgrade the network to become EVM-compatible, and by extension, enable smart contract capabilities, directly on the Creditcoin blockchain.
PSA: The previous Substrate-only version of the Creditcoin network (2.0+ and earlier) will now be called ‘Creditcoin Classic’. The EVM-compatible version of Creditcoin will simply be called ‘Creditcoin’.
The Creditcoin network upgrade is a major step forward in supporting our ongoing mission of achieving financial inclusivity across global markets. Recently, our development company Gluwa, shared news regarding its growing relationships with key African countries to help contribute to building their infrastructure. How You Can Become A Part Of The Future
We launched the Real-World EVM Gamified Testnet as a fun, interactive way to accumulate reward points for your participation in social tasks and on-chain activities. The points you earn will be used towards your eligibility for token rewards at mainnet launch.

Social task points will be accumulated via the QuestN platform and on-chain activity points will be calculated separately at the end of the testnet. For your on-chain activity, the more active you are, the more points you rack up.

👨💻 Quest #1: Minimum Eligibility
Complete all of the social tasks on X and submit your wallet addresses to be eligible for testnet rewards. You must complete this quest to be eligible for rewards.
⚠️ The Substrate and EVM addresses you submit must be used for on-chain testnet activities, as it will be used to connect your wallets with your testnet reward points. This includes developers executing smart contracts.
💧 Quest #2: Testnet Participation Foundations
To help you get familiar with the refreshed Creditcoin, start earning reward points by navigating through the main features of the protocol and Testnet. Validators and nominators should complete on-chain tasks with your Substrate wallet, while developers executing smart contracts should use the submitted EVM wallet. Tasks include:
- Nominating projects to compete for Creditcoin developer grants
- Using the faucets on Discord to receive Testnet tokens.
- Completing a range of on-chain activities (e.g. validating, staking, transferring, etc)
- Executing smart contracts (developers)
🗳️ Quest #3: Tournament Voting
The Real-World EVM Gamified Testnet is about getting you actively participating in the network, as well as recruiting projects to build on Creditcoin. In order to incentivize projects, we’re offering $20k worth of grants to the top 4 winners of our Real-World EVM tournament.
It starts with your project nominations on Quest #2, and then we’ll populate the tournament bracket with the 16 best submissions. While Creditcoin has historically been an RWA-focused blockchain, upgrading to EVM-compatibility unlocks endless possibilities for dApps and novel protocol development. For your project submission, you can nominate any crypto niche, such as DeFi, gaming, social, DePIN, and even meme coins.
Each week, we’ll hold limited-time voting sessions on X for the projects within their respective brackets to compete head-to-head for the most community votes. The project with the most votes in each voting session will advance to the next tournament round.
The final four projects will be eligible to receive their share of the $20k CTC grant:
- Grand prize winner: $10k
- Runner-up: $5k
- Third and fourth place: $2.5k each
Your participation as a community voter will help shape the future of the Creditcoin network! In Quest #3, you’ll earn points for engaging in the X voting sessions as you root for your favorite projects to win the tournament!
Important note: The tournament is a way to involve our community as we actively seek new projects to recruit and build on our network. A project’s presence in the tournament does not imply that it has partnered with us. Finally, the top 4 winners, if they choose to build on the Creditcoin network, will still be subject to milestone deliverables in our grant program.
